Welcome
When you call our office during regular business hours, you will speak to one of our support staff. Before making the appointment, you will be asked to give some basic information including your name, your age, your telephone number, your availability, your payment method or insurance plan, and a brief description of the problem you need help with. The staff will match you up with a provider who is experienced in your condition. You will see a psychiatrist or a nurse practitioner if you need medication management, or a psychotherapist if you need psychotherapy. After your benefits are verified, the staff will call you promptly to offer you an appointment. If you call outside regular business hours, the answering service will take a message and give it to the staff in a timely fashion.
The Process
During the initial visit, a treatment plan will be discussed with you. The plan will involve the type and frequency of the visits, depending on your condition. Psychotherapy sessions are usually done weekly, while medication management visits vary depending on the diagnosis and clinical need. Please plan to arrive ten minutes early on your first visit to fill out the necessary paperwork. All appointments begin on time and end on time.
Office Hours
Providers' schedules vary. However, appointments are available Monday through Friday between 8 am and 7 pm, and some Saturday morning hours may be available. Evening hours may not be available initially, however, your provider will give you a priority after you start the treatment when an evening appointment becomes available.
Payment
Private pay and most insurance plans are accepted. If you plan to use your insurance or managed care benefits, please call them in advance to verify your benefits. This will clarify your responsibility for payment before you come in, since you may have a deductible to meet and a copay for each visit. Payment is expected at time of service. We accept most credit and debit cards. All other forms of payments are accepted. We do not offer a sliding scale payment plan. We do not participate with Medicaid plans.
Cancellation Policy
When you make an appointment, a certain amount of time is reserved for you. Therefore, a 24 hour notice is required for cancellation. Otherwise, there will be a charge for missed appointments and any cancellation made within less than 24 hours.
